Adding remote extensions

Remote extensions using IP Phones can be added with relative ease to your trixbox® system. Staff that are travelling can have their own phone extension using their laptop PC and a softphone connected through their hotel network or a Wifi hotspot. They can also use a wifi voip phone that links directly into hotspots.

SOHO users with a broadband connection can link a real IP phone into the PBX or use a softphone on their PC. You can have any number of remote extensions if the Internet bandwidth into the office PBX is sufficient.

Remote extensions can have all the options and facilities of a local extension. They can be included in a ring group or be an agent in a queue. Alternatively, for staff who have an local office number as well they can be linked to that number using “follow me”.
