Is there a maximum number of recipients that the TextAlert can be sent to?
No. you can send the TextAlert to as many people as you like.
What happens if the email being converted to text messages is longer than 160 characters?
The TextAlert service will send the complete email message by converting it in to 160 character chunks. So, if the email message is 350 characters in length, three text messages will be sent, ensuring you do not loose any important information.
How do we pay for the messages that we’ve sent?
As part of the registration process you elect how to pay. Your choices are: by direct debit (our favourite, for which you receive a discount!) or by account payment such as BACS or cheque. At the end of each month we’ll send you an invoice for the previous month’s usage, which we ask you to pay within 14 days.
Do I need to be technical to use the service?
Absolutely not. TextAlert has been designed to be simple and easy to use. Just follow the simple steps to set up a TextAlert and you will be live in 2 minutes.
Do you use our mobile phone numbers for marketing purposes?
No we do not. We conform to the stringent regulations of the Data Protection Act. Your user and contact details are confidential to you.
