How to link extra phone numbers to your softPBX

One of the great benefits with VoIP is that you can easily link ‘real’ phones numbers to your softPBX. In the UK these are often called DDI numbers elsewhere they are called DID, the result is the same.

The deregulation of telecom provision in many countries means that telephone numbers are no longer linked to the provision of a conventional phone service by a telecom provider. VoIP service providers have taken this up and you can now sign for one or more phone numbers in many countries and link these to your softPBX via the internet.

You can pick the phone numbers in most major cities or dialing codes, see the list below and then link these with your PBX. When these numbers are dialed the call will come through to your phone system and can be handled in a number of ways to suit you.
